Ryan Bailey's S&P Edge Post Market Breakdown - Tuesday 10/28/2025

Today’s Post-Market Breakdown: S&P Squeeze, FOMC Prep, and 2 New Stock Ideas

First, a huge congratulations to Darren at All Capital Management for winning today’s 50K Prop Firm evaluation! We are doing these giveaways every single day this week, along with 30-day free trials for the Substack trade plans.

In today’s video, we covered the massive S&P 500 squeeze and prepped for the volatility ahead.

Here’s a summary of what we discussed:

  • Today’s Market Action: Today was a classic low-volume grind-up, just as we discussed in this morning’s plan. The S&P was a missile that decimated shorts on the back of positive China tariff and shipping news.

  • Textbook Trades: We reviewed the two textbook trades from the day:

    1. The “Globex gain” long off our key 6907.00 support level.

    2. The “murder algo” short setup, where the market dumped over 20 points right into the close after the relentless grind.

  • Is This the Top? I’m starting to feel we’re getting toppy. We’re now bumping against the second standard deviation of the yearly VWAP (meaning we are way out of value), we’ve met the weekly expected move, and the VIX pushed above its key 16.17 pivot late in the day.

  • The Bullish Case: That said, our main high-time-frame target—the weekly bullish imbalance at 6950.00—has still not been fully met. We missed it by just 6 points today.

  • FOMC Game Plan: With the FOMC announcement tomorrow, the key isn’t the rate cut (we know it’s coming), but what Powell says after. My plan is to trade the morning session and then get out. I am not looking to short this top; I am looking to buy a healthy pullback. A 130-200 point drop would still be insanely bullish.

  • Gold Trade Winner: A massive shoutout to TML, one of our Inner Circle subscribers, who took the Gold setup from yesterday’s video at 3900.00 and banked $15,000 by 7 AM. An incredible trade that shows the power of the plan.

  • Two New Stock Ideas: Finally, I give you two new stock setups I’m watching for long-term holds: Fiserv (FI) and Chipotle (CMG). Both have earnings tomorrow, and I break down the exact levels I’m watching to build a position.

Watch the full breakdown to get all the charts and details.
