Every one in this stack talking of the core concepts given in this newsletter . No one answers these questions. How many days of volume profile you load for intraday, swing and long term ? And how you trade each setup based on timeframe.. a live example if possible

We trade it a few times a week in the discord your more than welcome to come see.

To answer your questions and maybe you didn't read the post IDK but you don't use volume profile you use market profile which is time based. 2nd the trade only works for the prior days profile so technically you only need to load 1 previous day and the current day.

You don't trade it on a specific time frame. Your target is the opposing VAL H/L so once the trade set up you're looking for an entry on whatever time frame you like. . Hope this helps.

Have a good Christmas

You specifically said the value area is 70 percent of daily volume. Did you mean 70 percent of time?

Ryan Bailey's S&P Edge's avatar

Yes for volume profile it would be 70% of the volume is the VA and for market profile that is time based it would be where 70% of the time is spent makes the VA

I personally always use market profile (TPO)

I do a similar strategy. I look at the 10 day value area. If below the 10 day VAL, I go long and look for continuation. If price is above VAH I go short.

This is a well known stat in the market profile community. Its discretionary but could easily programmed to alert you when this is happening. Hope this helps
